Probabilistic Risk Assessment Engineer

Westinghouse Electric Company is an innovative leader in providing clean energy solutions, and they are seeking an entry-level Probabilistic Risk Assessment Engineer. In this role, you will perform Probabilistic Risk Assessments for nuclear power plant systems, evaluate vulnerabilities, and collaborate with global project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assess domestic and international operating plants, and new reactors in design phase
  • Review plant operating procedures, system/layout documents like piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and cable routes to understand plant systems and operation
  • Database management and data analysis tasks using a variety of tools
  • Present technical topics and interface with global customers and regulatory bodies
  • Partner w/ global project teams contributing to technical scope, execution, meetings and financial goals

Skills

  • 0+ years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Nuclear
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Desire to earn Professional Engineer in Training (EIT) license
  • 10% travel availability to domestic or international customer sites
