Job Responsibilities

As a Virtual Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Answering phone calls and responding to customer inquiries in a friendly, empathetic, and professional manner
  • Guiding customers through the process of selecting the perfect storage unit size for their needs
  • Providing exceptional customer service, resolving issues, and escalating concerns when necessary
  • Working independently, managing your time effectively, and meeting productivity goals
  • Maintaining accurate records, updating customer information, and performing other administrative tasks as required

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on empathy and problem-solving
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage your time effectively
  • Friendly, approachable voice and tone on the phone
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Reliable computer, stable internet connection, and quiet work environment

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous customer service experience, preferably in a call center or retail environment

  • Experience working with customers in difficult life transitions (e.g., moving, downsizing, etc.)
  • Familiarity with self-storage industry or related fields (e.g., logistics, supply chain management)
  • Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g., Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR))
