Job Responsibilities

As a Customer Engineer in our Security division, you'll be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with Security Sales and Google Cloud teams to identify and qualify business opportunities, resolve client technical and compliance issues, and develop strategies to overcome technical blockers.
  • Demonstrating and showcasing the benefits of Google Cloud Security products in client and partner environments.
  • Supporting Google Cloud Security opportunities and relationships, owning technical aspects of solutions, and delivering technical presentations, product and solution briefings, proofs-of-concepts, and demos to clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Planning and delivering product messaging to highlight our solutions' value proposition using techniques such as presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, trial management, and response reports.
  • Attending client sites, conferences, and other relevant events where applicable.

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field).

  • Four years of experience in a customer-facing role, with a strong focus on security or cloud computing.
  • Proven expertise in network security (e.g., threat detection, malware analysis, cloud security management, or identity and access management frameworks).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

* Graduate degree in Software Engineering, Design, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • Certification in the Cloud or Security industry.
  • Experience in delivering security solutions for enterprises (e.g., threat hunting, malware analysis, cloud security posture management, or SIEM and incident response).
  • Knowledge of market trends in the network security industry (e.g., ransomware, attack frameworks, zero trust, and so on).
  • Ability to think critically, communicate effectively, and demonstrate excellent presentation and attention-to-detail skills.

Skills and Competencies

* Strong technical expertise in cloud security, with a focus on Google Cloud Security products.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Engineering, and Product Management.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Proficiency in cloud security tools and technologies, including threat detection, malware analysis, and identity and access management frameworks.
