Our client, a global leader in aviation services, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Lead Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with a specialization in avionics to join their expanding team. This critical role will involve overseeing and contributing to the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex avionics systems on a diverse fleet of aircraft. You will be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness and operational readiness of aircraft by applying your deep technical expertise in navigation, communication, flight control, and other integrated electronic systems. This is a remote position, requiring you to provide expert technical guidance, support, and supervision to maintenance teams globally. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing best practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FAA, EASA), and driving continuous improvement in maintenance procedures. The ideal candidate possesses a comprehensive understanding of aircraft electrical systems, advanced troubleshooting skills, and a proven ability to lead and mentor engineering personnel. You will also play a key role in managing technical documentation, conducting root cause analyses, and contributing to major maintenance program development. Responsibilities: Provide expert technical leadership and guidance on avionics systems maintenance and repair. Oversee and contribute to the troubleshooting of complex avionics issues across various aircraft types. Ensure compliance with all applicable aviation regulations (FAA, EASA, etc.) and company policies. Develop, review, and approve maintenance procedures and technical documentation. Conduct root cause analyses for recurring technical problems and implement corrective actions. Lead and mentor a team of aircraft maintenance engineers and technicians. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and regulatory authorities to resolve technical challenges. Manage the implementation of avionics upgrades and modifications. Support heavy maintenance checks and unscheduled maintenance events. Contribute to the development and refinement of aircraft maintenance programs. Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and opportunities for proactive interventions. Stay current with advancements in avionics technology and aviation regulations. Ensure the highest standards of safety and airworthiness are maintained. Manage project timelines and resources effectively for assigned tasks. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Avionics Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered. Minimum of 8 years of experience in aircraft maintenance engineering, with a strong focus on avionics systems. Proven experience in leading technical teams and projects. In-depth knowledge of aircraft navigation, communication, autopilot, and flight control systems. Familiarity with avionics troubleshooting techniques and diagnostic equipment. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (FAA Part 121/145, EASA). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in technical documentation and maintenance program development. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities. Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and collaborate with diverse teams. Relevant certifications (e.g., A&P license, specific avionics type ratings) are highly desirable.
