Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be the first point of contact for patients and families, providing a warm and welcoming experience as they navigate the hospital registration process. You'll work closely with our clinical teams to ensure seamless communication and efficient registration, leveraging your exceptional customer service skills to build trust and rapport with patients and families.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families, responding to their questions and concerns in a compassionate and empathetic manner

  • Collect and verify patient and insurance information accurately and efficiently, working across multiple screens and programs
  • Collaborate with clinicians to ensure timely and accurate registration, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities
  • Develop strong relationships with patients and families, listening actively to their concerns and addressing their needs in a timely and professional manner
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, often on your feet, to assist patients complete their registration and address any issues that may arise
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on healthcare policies, procedures, and best practices

Requirements

* High School Diploma or GED

  • Excellent customer service experience, with a proven track record of providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and families from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work in a team environment, collaborating with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to achieve common goals
  • Basic computer skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technology and systems
  • Ability to work in a hospital/lab environment, with exposure to illness and injuries

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in a healthcare setting, with knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare policies and procedures

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve complex issues
  • Experience working in a patient registration or admissions role, with knowledge of registration processes and procedures
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds
