Key Responsibilities

As an Experienced Customer Service Agent - Airport Operations, you will be responsible for:

  • Safely loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, ensuring timely connections and guiding incoming and departing aircraft from gate positions.
  • Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather conditions.
  • Operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion.
  • Using baggage scanners and computers to ensure accurate routing of baggage to customers' destinations.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless airport operations and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and procedures, and reporting any incidents or concerns to management.

Work Environment and Schedule

* Work is performed in a fast-paced airport environment, with exposure to various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and snow.

  • Shifts range from early morning to overnight, with varying schedules based on operational needs.
  • You will work between 20 and 40 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime and career advancement.

What You Need to Succeed

* Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
  • Has a valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Passes a physical ability test (PAT).
  • Must wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include, but not limited to: hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, protective headwear (bump cap or hard hat), and high visibility safety apparel subject to an approved accommodation, such as alternate PPE.
  • Ability to hold airport-specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.
