About the Role
We are looking for a Head of Engineering to serve as the technical architect of our multi-product ecosystem. In this role, you won't just be optimizing a single machine – you will be building the factory that creates them. You will lead a development department of approximately 100+ people, organized into multiple segmented teams across our global portfolio. You will ensure that our high-traffic platforms remain hyper-scalable while creating the 'shared engine' that allows us to launch new products with unprecedented speed. This is a high-leverage position for a leader who loves the complexity of a diverse tech stack and the challenge of global scale.
Responsibilities
Define and execute a technical roadmap that supports multiple products simultaneously, balancing the needs of established high-traffic platforms with early-stage MVPs. Directly oversee the output and alignment of our 100+ person engineering organization, ensuring that multiple segmented teams remain synchronized and maintain high-velocity execution. Take ownership of our technical partnerships and infrastructure costs. You will be responsible for negotiating and managing high-level contracts with major providers, including AWS, Google, Microsoft, and Cloudflare. Maintain the reliability and performance of platforms serving 100M+ users. You will set the standard for code quality, system architecture, and security across the organization. Regularly review the performance of our distributed development teams. As a long-term strategic priority, you will build and refine our internal engineering team structure based on emerging product needs. Identify opportunities to build shared services (e.g., universal billing, auth, or analytics modules) to accelerate development cycles across all product lines. Work closely with Product and Growth leads to ensure technical efforts are directly aligned with business outcomes and profitability. Keep us at the cutting edge by evaluating new technologies, particularly in AI and automation, to ensure our products remain category leaders. Who You Are You have 8+ years of engineering experience, with a proven track record of leading large or rapidly scaling teams. You are a natural leader who can drive organizational clarity across complex structures. Because our environment is technically deep, a background in software development earlier in your career is highly valued. You have experience leading engineering teams in environments with millions of active users. You know how to design systems that don't just work, but thrive under global pressure. You are comfortable with context-switching and can navigate the unique challenges of managing a portfolio rather than a single product. You think like a founder. You don’t wait for a spec to tell you that a system needs optimizing; you look at the data and take initiative. You value 'clean enough' and 'fast' over 'perfect and slow.' You understand that in a SaaS studio environment, speed-to-market is a competitive advantage. You are a master of asynchronous communication and know how to build a cohesive, high-performing team across multiple time zones.
