DESCRIPTION: As a Sr Account Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Bioscience division, you will increase revenue by developing and managing strategic customer relationships located mainly in the North of Italy across our diverse portfolio of scientific products and solutions with a strong focus on both consumables and instruments. You will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, using your scientific expertise and consultative sales approach to help them advance critical research, development, and manufacturing initiatives. You will collaborate with technical specialist and support teams to deliver comprehensive solutions that enable customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. A key responsibility is achieving the Annual Operating Plan by identifying and developing opportunities that contribute to sustainable revenue growth. Leveraging data intelligence, you will analyze market dynamics and prioritize sales opportunities with the highest return on investment, while continuously monitoring competitor activity, market trends, and evolving customer needs, including the identification of emerging accounts. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships will be a core part of your daily activities, through regular engagement via phone, MS Teams, email, and in-person meetings. You will also ensure accurate and up-to-date customer data management using Salesforce.com. Finally, you will contribute to the overall effectiveness of the sales organization by consistently sharing insights, successes, and challenges through clear written and verbal communication, supporting continuous improvement at the team, regional, and organizational level. REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's Degree plus 5 years of B2B sales experience in life sciences, biotech, pharmaceutical, or related scientific industries
  • Preferred Fields of Study: Life Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or related scientific field
  • Additional business or commercial certifications valued
  • Technical aptitude and ability to understand complex scientific applications and workflows
  • Demonstrated success in consistently meeting/exceeding sales targets and growing strategic accounts
  • Excellence in consultative selling, relationship building, and negotiations at all levels
  • Experience with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and MS Office suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
  • Analytical, planning, and organizational abilities
  • Effective presentation and communication skills at all organizational levels
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50-75% as needed
  • Fluency in English required;
  • Demonstrates commitment to Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement
  • Ability to manage complex sales cycles and multiple opportunities simultaneously
