Head of Data Science - Remote (US, Canada, Europe)

This role leads the organization’s Data Science & AI function, and steers the development of data-driven products that enhance (amongst other things) brand equity measurement and new product development. By setting best practices in GenAI, machine learning, and NLP, it ensures that AI-driven solutions not only meet market needs but also deliver tangible business impact. The position bridges technical innovation with strategic objectives, driving both the technical vision and product roadmap to create lasting value for clients.

• Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:
• • Own and oversee the development of our sentiment models, emotion models, and LLM best practices, ensuring they deliver accurate and actionable insights.
• Drive innovation in AI applications, integrating machine learning, GenAI and NLP techniques into our products.
• Define and implement best practices for LLMs, optimizing their use for internal and client-facing applications.
• Ensure the scalability, accuracy, and efficiency of AI-driven solutions across our organization.
• Work closely with engineering to build robust data pipelines and deploy AI models in production.
• Lead research initiatives to explore new AI methodologies and their application to brand analytics.
• Ensure ethical and transparent AI use, balancing automation with human oversight.
• Product Ownership: Brand Equity Pulse & Innovate
• • Define and execute the product vision, roadmap, and strategy for Brand Equity Pulse, our monthly updated AI-driven brand measurement platform.
• Drive the development of Innov8, ensuring it delivers AI-powered solutions that enhances new product development at our clients.
• Prioritize features and enhancements based on business impact, client demand, and technical feasibility.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, and client success, to bring products from concept to deployment.
• Balance trade-offs between scalability, accuracy, and cost efficiency while ensuring products remain cutting-edge.
• Line Management & Leadership
• • Lead and mentor a team of six data scientists and engineers, fostering their growth and professional development.
• Conduct monthly connect meetings and support career progression, providing feedback and guidance.
• Align team priorities with product goals and company strategy.

• Strategic Thinking: Ability to define long-term vision while executing short-term priorities effectively.
• People Leadership: Proven ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication & Stakeholder Management: Skilled at translating complex AI concepts into business impact and aligning teams on strategic goals.
