Senior Network Engineer for Remote Site Router Standardization)

Project Overview We are a U.S.-based technology company deploying field-installed appliance systems at customer locations. Our systems include Android tablets, serial controllers, scanners, relay-controlled door systems, and cloud-connected applications. We need an experienced Senior Network Engineer to help us standardize our router/network architecture for repeatable nationwide deployments. Primary goal: create a secure, reliable, remotely manageable network standard using Peplink routers (or equivalent if strongly justified). Current Environment Typical customer site includes: •Customer provides internet via onsite router/modem

• Our router connects via Ethernet WAN to customer network
• Android tablet requires internet + LAN communication
• Controller device requires LAN only (must be blocked from internet)
• Static IP devices on LAN
• Mission-critical heartbeat communication between devices
• Optional LTE / 5G backup internet desired

Scope of Work Need expert help with: Network Architecture

• Recommended hardware models
• LAN/WAN topology
• Static IP scheme
• VLAN or subnet segmentation
• Firewall rules
• Secure device isolation

Reliability

• WAN failover (customer internet to LTE/5G)
• Health checks
• Monitoring / alerting
• Recovery recommendations

Remote Management

• Centralized management platform
• Firmware update process
• Remote support access
• Configuration backup / restore

Deliverables 1. Recommended standard hardware stack 2. Final network design diagram 3. Golden configuration template for deployments 4. Security hardening checklist 5. Installer deployment guide 6. Remote support SOP 7. Optional scalability recommendations for 100+ sites Required Experience Must have strong experience with:

• Peplink / Pepwave routers
• Dual WAN / LTE failover
• Firewall policies
• VLANs / routing
• Multi-site remote deployments
• Business-grade router environments

Preferred Experience Bonus if you have experience with:

• Kiosk systems
• IoT devices
• Android appliance deployments
• Retail / hospitality networks
• Customer site installations with third-party internet providers
