JTG supports a wide range of U.S. government and commercial clients, delivering secure, high-quality language solutions across complex and sensitive subject areas. Position Overview JTG is seeking experienced freelance translators to support financial, accounting, and tax-related language projects. Assignments may involve written translation, transcription, and quality review of sensitive materials for government and regulated-industry clients. We are recruiting linguists across all languages. Key Responsibilities
- Translate documents involving financial, accounting, regulatory, and tax-related subject matter
- Perform verbatim transcription of audio files and translate transcripts into the target language, in accordance with project specifications
- Apply domain-specific terminology and follow designated style guides and quality standards
- Review and provide quality assurance feedback on other linguists' work, as required
- Communicate clearly and professionally in written and spoken English
- Meet deadlines while maintaining strict confidentiality and data-handling requirements
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated professional experience translating between English and at least one foreign language
- Familiarity with financial, accounting, regulatory, or tax terminology
- Strong written English skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability and willingness to successfully complete a U.S. Government background investigation (Public Trust level or equivalent), as required by specific assignments
- U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residency
Education
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Equivalent professional experience will be considered
