Claims Examiner (Commercial Auto & General Liability)
Commercial Auto & General Liability Claims Examiner Full-Time | Permanent Remote Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 Description Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Auto & General Liability Claims Examiner to join their growing team. In this role, you will manage and resolve Commercial Auto, No-Fault/PIP, and General Liability claims from initial intake through final disposition. You’ll play a key role in assessing exposure, guiding claim strategy, and delivering high-quality outcomes for all stakeholders. This position is ideal for a professional who thrives on independent decision-making while collaborating with legal counsel and external partners in a fully remote environment. What You’ll Be Doing
- Review and interpret policy coverage to determine liability and exposure
- Investigate, evaluate, and manage Commercial Auto, PIP, and General Liability claims
- Coordinate with outside investigators, legal counsel, and third-party vendors
- Maintain accurate claim documentation and manage file diaries
- Assess claim exposure and establish appropriate reserves
- Develop and execute settlement strategies, including negotiation
- Prepare detailed loss reports covering liability, damages, and coverage
- Identify and pursue subrogation and risk transfer opportunities
- Deliver high-quality communication and service to internal and external stakeholders
What You Must Have
- 2+ years of experience handling Commercial Auto and General Liability claims
- Strong knowledge of claims handling practices, coverage analysis, and litigation management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to evaluate claims, make sound decisions, and negotiate effectively
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with claims management systems and standard computer applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience handling No-Fault/PIP claims
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional claims handling
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment
