Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care: evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across the lifespan
- Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostics; develop and manage treatment plans
- Perform minor procedures and prescribe medications as appropriate
- Coordinate care and refer patients to specialists when needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to deliver patient-centered care
- Supervise and support clinical staff; participate in peer review as needed
- Support and participate in preventive care initiatives (immunizations, screenings, etc.)
- Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation, coding, and billing
- Participate in quality improvement and organizational initiatives
- Provide rotating after-hours/on-call coverage
- Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited program
- Completed residency in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics
- Licensed (or eligible) in Virginia
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
