Providing physical therapy services through telehealth in a school setting offers a unique opportunity to support student health and development remotely. This contract-based role involves delivering therapeutic interventions designed to improve mobility, function, and physical well-being for children within an educational environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to students needs.
  • Implement telehealth therapy sessions using appropriate technology to ensure effective communication and care delivery.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other school professionals to integrate therapeutic goals into students daily routines.
  • Document therapy sessions, progress notes, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards and school policies.
  • Provide guidance and support to school staff on positioning, adaptive equipment, and strategies to promote student participation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensed Physical Therapist with current credentials to practice state-wide.
  • Experience delivering physical therapy services through telehealth platforms.
  • Background working within pediatric populations, preferably in a school-based environment.
  • Strong communication skills to facilitate remote interactions with students, families, and school personnel.
  • Ability to navigate technology tools required for telehealth service delivery efficiently.

  • This role operates remotely with a focus on students from the Niagara Falls, NY area.
