Job type: Permanent Description Job Title: Vice President of Sales, North America Industry: Grocery Retail Technology | E-Com | Last mile / Order Fulfilment Location: United States (Remote with Travel) Reporting Line: CEO Role Summary: Our client is a 1200 person, public, European Grocery Retail tech vendor. They have a strong base across Europe and is investing further in its North American commercial operations. This role will be responsible for leading revenue growth across the U.S. and Canada and requires full regional sales ownership, combining direct enterprise selling (Grocery Customers) with leadership of a small, team and a clear mandate to scale as the business expands. Core Responsibilities:

  • North American Sales Leadership
  • Own the North American sales strategy and execution in alignment with global commercial objectives.
  • Represent the company at executive levels with major grocery retailers, regional chains, and strategic partners.
  • Act as the senior sales leader for the region, ensuring consistent messaging, positioning, and execution.
  • Enterprise Revenue Growth
  • Lead and oversee complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles within grocery retail environments.
  • Drive new customer acquisition while supporting expansion opportunities within existing accounts.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a small North American sales team, including account executives and supporting resources.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, sales methodology, and governance.
  • Partner with global leadership on hiring and scaling plans as regional demand increases.
  • Cross-Regional Collaboration
  • Work closely with European headquarters across Product, Delivery, Marketing, and Customer Success.
  • Support alignment between regional customer requirements and global product strategy.

Candidate Profile

  • Senior sales leader with 12+ years of enterprise software sales experience and leadership responsibility in North America.
  • Strong domain expertise within grocery retail technology, including e-commerce, fulfilment, supply chain, or store systems.
  • Proven success selling to large grocery retailers through long, complex buying cycles.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with direct customer engagement.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence at C-suite and senior VP levels.
