About the Role

Sync is looking for a QA Developer with strong cross-device testing experience who thinks like a developer and builds like one too. You'll be developing and owning automated tests across web, mobile, and API layers, while contributing to how AI fits into our quality engineering practice. You'll work closely with developers and product teams to embed quality early in the development cycle, not as an afterthought.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and expand our Playwright-based test suite across our web platform Build and execute mobile test automation for our native iOS and Android apps Design and implement test automation frameworks and strategies with scalability and maintainability in mind Contribute to AI-assisted testing practices — exploring how AI tools can help generate test cases, detect anomalies, or accelerate coverage Build and maintain API, performance, and security test suites Collaborate with development and QA teams to define test plans, test strategies, and coverage requirements Analyze test results and triage failures — provide detailed, actionable feedback that helps developers resolve issues quickly Integrate testing into our CI/CD pipelines to catch issues early and keep releases moving Ensure thorough coverage through functional, regression, and integration testing across all major release cycles Share knowledge and best practices with teammates around test automation techniques and tooling Stay current on emerging tools, frameworks, and AI-driven advancements in quality engineering Qualifications 3–5 years in software quality engineering or test development (SDET background preferred) 2+ years of hands-on mobile testing experience with native iOS and Android apps Solid, hands-on experience with Playwright — you've built and worked within automated test suites, not just run existing ones Strong programming skills — you write clean, maintainable test code (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar) Experience designing or contributing to automation frameworks, not just executing tests within them Familiarity with AI tools in a development or testing context is a plus Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins, or similar) Exposure to API testing, performance testing, or security testing is a strong plus Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience Why Join Sync? Salary range: $85,000 - $100,000 Generous wellness program Remote work Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to a dynamic and innovative team. Chance to make a significant impact on the infrastructure that underpins our software products. Competitive compensation package and benefits. Professional growth opportunities through continuous learning and skill development. Sync.com is an equal opportunity, dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive team. We encourage applications from all qualified candidates and will accommodate applicants’ needs throughout the recruitment, assessment, and selection process. If selected to participate in the process, please inform us of the nature of any accommodation(s) that you may require. #LI-Remote Apply To This Job
