[Remote] Open Source Intelligence Analyst - Remote
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SMI Aware provides the legal industry with accurate social web screening of people and defensible preservation of any online content. The Open Source Intelligence Analyst creates reports using proprietary software and conducts searches on social media and search engines to analyze OSINT and social media evidence.
Responsibilities
- Create reports using SMI Aware's proprietary software application and other web based tools
- Searching social media
- Conducting advanced search engine queries
- Filtering results
- Writing an analytical summary of findings
Skills
- Must have advanced understanding of how to use social media and open-source intelligence to find information about individuals and companies
- Must be adaptable to learn new skills and software
- Must be proficient user of Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Knowledge of Boolean Search Engine queries and advanced search settings on social media platforms
- Advanced writing and analytical skills are required
- Must possess demonstrated ability to reliably meet project timelines
- Must have reliable high speed internet
- Availability for working alternative shifts
- Bachelors Degree in related field (Intelligence Studies, Criminal Justice, Criminology, etc.) or industry specific certification preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish and/or French a plus (reading and writing)
- Detail oriented
- Self-starter and fast learner
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
- High energy and drive
- Proactive and adaptable, with a demonstrated success managing schedules
