  • *Responsibilities
  • Review and process warranty claims related to medical devices or equipment, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all documentation.
  • Verify insurance coverage, including Medicare, Workers’ Compensation law, and other applicable insurance policies, to determine claim eligibility.
  • Maintain detailed medical records and documentation, including medical terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, CPT coding, HCPCS codes, and other relevant medical billing information.
  • File and organize claims electronically and physically using established filing systems and financial software to ensure quick retrieval and compliance.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies or denied claims promptly.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations such as ICD coding standards, DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), and medical billing practices to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with audit preparations by maintaining accurate records of all warranty claims and related correspondence.
  • *Experience
  • Previous clerical experience in a healthcare or insurance setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with medical documentation procedures, medical terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems, CPT coding, HCPCS codes, and medical billing processes.
  • Experience working with financial software or electronic health record systems is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation law and Medicare regulations will enhance your ability to process claims efficiently.
