Comprehensive Community Behavioral Health Manager

About the position As a Comprehensive Community Behavioral Health Manager, you will play an important role within the Office of Behavioral Health. You will assist in the directing and coordinating of the various divisions within OBH to support and inform the ongoing Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model operations. This initiative will leverage and adapt national standards for community-based behavioral health services to best meet the needs of Mainers with mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders , while simultaneously offering an improved model of reimbursement for providers. As the CCBHC Manager, you will offer project leadership and management; ensure the CCBHC initiative is aligned with DHHS strategic priorities; participate in all aspects of model support across DHHS offices; participate in stakeholder advisory groups; execute workplans, timelines, project milestones, and identify the staff/organizations responsible for each activity; write and present updates and reports on project activities to OBH leadership; deliver or co-deliver presentations to external stakeholders and committees regarding implementation activities and accomplishments; provide functional supervision for 1-2 program staff.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • An eight (8) year combination of education and/or professional experience in social services to include two (2) years of related program management experience.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health programs and systems.
  • A demonstrated ability to implement methods to monitor and evaluate effectiveness of health-related programs.
  • A demonstrated ability to provide technical assistance to mental health community programs to review and support contractual and program compliance while also addressing issues and necessary changes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including the ability to develop written reports and public presentations.
