Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the development of superior performance software teams, driving innovation and excellence in data engineering

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain large-scale data applications and pipelines
• Ensure the highest quality and integrity of data, working closely with data scientists and engineers to drive insights and inform product decisions
• Develop and maintain complex, multi-part big data frameworks, architecting and building scalable solutions
• Work under pressure to meet deadlines, while maintaining a high level of quality and reliability
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure their success
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying knowledge to drive innovation and improvement

Essential Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

• Master's level experience in data engineering tools and systems, cycles, objectives, and philosophies
• Master's level experience in at least two of the following languages and related development tools: Python, Ruby, Java, Scala, Swift, Objective C
• Experience with at least one of the following stages: HDFS, Yarn, Flash, Impala, Kafka, HBase, MapReduce, Kubernetes, Item Store, Flink

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with cloud-based platforms and services, such as AWS or Azure

• Knowledge of agile development methodologies and practices
• Strong understanding of data engineering principles and best practices
• Experience with data visualization tools and technologies
