Key Responsibilities

As an Experienced Customer Service Representative – Insurance Claims Recovery Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Politely and effectively communicating with medical, dental, and long-term care providers regarding identified insurance overpayments.
  • Persistent problem-solving and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Proactively making contact and responding both verbally and in writing with providers.
  • Maintaining and accurately updating records in our operating system, including points of contact, recovery stages, and other relevant information.
  • Performing administrative duties, such as creating notes, researching overpayments, and sending emails/faxes.
  • Demonstrating a basic level of knowledge of our policies and procedures.
  • Positively responding to coaching, mentoring, and feedback.
  • Working effectively in a fast-paced and team environment.
  • Achieving daily, weekly, and monthly recovery goals and metrics.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A detail-oriented and accurate approach to completing tasks.
  • Intermediate Windows and MS Office skills.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • Experience in processing Long Term Care/Medical/Medicare/Medicaid/Dental or some type of insurance billing or auditing.
  • Call center experience.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Mainframe, 'green screen' experience or similar systems.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
