What You Will Get To Do:

• Security software management: Configure and maintain mainframe security policies in a Top Secret and RACF environment.
• Access control: Create, update, and manage user IDs, passwords, and access rules to ensure users only have access to necessary data and resources.
• Required skills and qualifications
• Technical skills:
• Proficiency with mainframe security software (RACF or Top Secret).
• Strong knowledge of z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, and other mainframe tools.
• Experience with security auditing, vulnerability assessments, and threat analysis.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like REXX for automation.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills:
• Strong ability to analyze security risks and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Ability to identify and address security vulnerabilities.
• Communication and collaboration skills:
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work effectively with other teams and influence others.
• Knowledge:
• Understanding of compliance standards and audit processes.
• Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms.
• * Monitoring and auditing: Monitor system security, review security logs, and perform regular security audits to detect and report violations and vulnerabilities.
• Incident response: Respond to security incidents and perform forensic analysis to understand and mitigate threats.
• Policy enforcement: Ensure the mainframe environment complies with internal security policies and external regulations.
• Collaboration: Work with application developers, other IT teams, and compliance officers to support application onboarding, resolve security issues, and implement security requirements.
• Automation: Develop and use scripts (like REXX) to automate security tasks and improve efficiency.

Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. Colorado: The expected base salary for the position is between 125000 USD to 145000 USD. Maryland: The expected base salary for the position is between 125000 USD to 145000 USD. In addition, employees in this role may be eligible for consideration on an annual basis for a discretionary bonus and/or equity awards, such as restricted stock units or stock options, based upon individual and business performance at the company’s discretion.
