Amazon Product Launch Lead (Fractional Contractor)

We sell on Amazon under the Empowered Cooks brand (EmpoweredCooks.com), tied to our YouTube channel Empowered Cooks (youtube.com/@empoweredcooks). We have 5 products live, launched 3–5 years ago. We have an Amazon ops team, a sourcing team, designers, and a research-heavy product manager. What we don't have is someone who can take a product idea from "should we launch this?" to "it's live on Amazon" with discipline and urgency. That's the role. The problem we need you to solve Products don't launch here. Not because we lack ideas or research — we have plenty of both. They don't launch because nobody owns the pipeline, the order of operations gets reversed (samples before math), and decisions get analyzed instead of made. We need someone who runs the cheap, fast feasibility work first, builds a real model, makes the call, and either kills the idea or hands it cleanly to our sourcing team. What you'll own

• The new product launch pipeline, end-to-end
• A 1-page go/no-go memo to me every 2 weeks
• Feasibility math first: margin, breakeven, sales volume, competitive landscape, risk
• Coordinating our existing team — product manager (research/optimization), sourcing partners, designer, Amazon agency
• Kill criteria, decision deadlines, and the discipline to enforce both

You'll probably crush this if you've

• Personally launched products on Amazon (not just analyzed, not just consulted)
• Built your own financial models for margin and volume — not just used someone else's templates
• Killed your own product ideas before, with the math to back it up
• Run pipelines or product portfolios where shipping mattered more than being right

This is probably not for you if you

• Want to start by building a research framework
• Lead with samples, suppliers, or sourcing (we have that covered)
• Pitch in "our team" language — we're hiring one accountable person, not an agency
• Need a lot of hand-holding or strategic direction from me — the whole point is that I want to step out of this

The starting point A paid 2-week trial project. We'll give you 5 product categories we're actively considering and ask for a ranked go/no-go memo with the model behind it. If the trial goes well, we move to an ongoing fractional engagement. Logistics

• Fractional contractor, roughly 15–25 hours/week
