Eliminating Financial Complexity in Healthcare Building Transparent, Efficient Healthcare Infrastructure Turquoise Health is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join its mission of transforming healthcare pricing transparency for enterprise organizations. As the second attorney in company history, this role offers a unique opportunity to help scale the legal function alongside the General Counsel, directly impacting how the business operates and grows. The Commercial Counsel will serve as a strategic partner across all departments, providing practical legal guidance and owning the contracting function end-to-end. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements, building scalable legal infrastructure, and ensuring compliance as the company expands. The role also involves interfacing with outside counsel, monitoring regulatory developments in healthcare and AI, and supporting board governance and corporate policy work. Ideal candidates will have a JD from an accredited law school, active bar membership in at least one US state, and 4-7 years of transactional legal experience with a focus on commercial contracts. Experience with SaaS, data licensing, and healthcare-adjacent regulations is valued, as is a proactive, adaptable approach to problem-solving. The ability to communicate clear, actionable guidance and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is essential.
