Position Title: Course Instructor: UNDC205 VAA – Counter-Terrorism Internal Posting for CTF Members Only Term: Winter 2027 (January 11 – February 26) Days/Times: N/A Hours per week/Hours Total: 3 hrs per week /18 hrs total Mode of Delivery: Virtual Asynchronous Type of Instruction: Anticipated Class Size: 140 Additional Course Requirements: None Posted on: May 22, 2026 Posting ends: June 5, 2026 Position Summary: This course explores key concepts relating to terrorism and counter-terrorism as defined by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. Students will be introduced to the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy, along with other key International instruments relating to global anti-terror efforts. Topics may include the spread of terrorism; international legal responses; and terrorism in connection with human rights. This course curriculum was developed in partnership with the UNODC. Qualifications - Required: Master's Degree Qualifications - Other: MA in Criminology, Sociology, or a related discipline; PhD or PhD in progress preferred. Work and/or research experience related to international organizations and pan-national treaties is considered an asset, as is prior teaching experience. (MEd / EdD will not be considered to meet the minimum educational requirement).
