Senior PHP | SaaS Developer, Remote, RRYWX
Position: Senior PHP | SaaS Developer, Remote, Full-time 4RR9YWX5 Location: Zumbro Falls Senior PHP | SaaS Developer, Remote, Full-time 4RR9 YWX5 We are seeking an experienced remote, full-time Senior PHP / SaaS Developer to lead the conversion of an existing proprietary PHP application into a scalable, commercial Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform. This is a full-time, remote position with long-term ownership and responsibility for the platform's ongoing development, infrastructure, and growth. You will work closely with leadership to transform a proven internal system into a multi-customer SaaS product, while also supporting our Word Press-based websites and related integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert an existing PHP application into a secure, scalable, multi-tenant SaaS environment
- Refactor and optimize PHP code for commercial use
- Integrate and maintain third-party APIs
- Design, optimize, and maintain MySQL / SQL databases
- Set up, configure, and maintain AWS servers and services
- Manage deployments, backups, monitoring, and system security
- Ensure performance, uptime, and scalability as customer usage grows
- Implement and maintain subscription-based billing workflows
- Manage recurring payments, licensing, and access controls
- Integrate billing data with internal accounting systems
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of subscription cash flow
Ongoing Product Ownership
- Maintain and enhance a customer service/support portal
- Implement feature requests, improvements, and system updates
- Troubleshoot issues and provide ongoing maintenance
Word Press Development & Maintenance
- Migrate, maintain, and optimize Word Press sites
- Develop or modify themes, plugins, and integrations
- Ensure security, performance, and compatibility with updates
Required Qualifications
- Strong professional experience with PHP
- Solid knowledge of MySQL / SQL
- Hands‑on experience managing AWS infrastructure
- Experience working with third‑party APIs
- Experience with Word Press development and migrations
- Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed environment
- Strong communication and ownership mindset
Nice to Have
- Experience integrating SaaS platforms with accounting systems
- Familiarity with security best practices for SaaS applications
- Experience supporting customer‑facing platforms
