Wound Care Biller (Remote)
Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced medical biller to handle billing for wound care services. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Medicare and commercial insurance billing practices, particularly with Part B billing, and be comfortable managing claims from submission through payment. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit clean claims to insurance companies and other payers.
- Review patient charts and documentation for accurate coding and billing.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid or denied claims.
- Communicate with providers and staff to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Stay current with billing regulations and payer guidelines.
- Assist with credentialing-related documentation as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of wound care medical billing experience.
- Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.
- Familiarity with billing software and EMRs.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
