Senior Curriculum & Instruction Specialist – AI/EdTech
Senior Curriculum & Instruction Specialist – AI/EdTech Location Remote Duration 3+ Months (Possible Extension) Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Education Professional with strong expertise in curriculum development, instructional design, assessment creation, and academic content development to support AI model training initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate with AI engineers, researchers, and product teams to help build intelligent educational solutions such as:
- Lesson plan generators
- Quiz & assessment tools
- Study guide creators
- Academic research assistants
- Curriculum alignment systems
The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge of K-12 and/or Higher Education frameworks, learning science, assessment strategies, and educational content standards.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum & Content Expertise
- Review and validate AI-generated educational content for accuracy, grade-level appropriateness, and curriculum alignment
- Develop instructional materials, learning objectives, rubrics, assessments, and lesson plans
- Ensure content follows pedagogical best practices and academic standards
AI Training & Data Validation
- Annotate, label, and validate educational datasets
- Identify factual inaccuracies, content gaps, or AI hallucinations
- Improve AI model quality through educational feedback and testing
Instructional Design & Learning Science
- Apply learning theories and instructional design principles to AI-generated outputs
- Design structured educational workflows and academic taxonomies
- Support development of personalized learning experiences
Collaboration & Strategy
- Work closely with AI/ML teams, researchers, and product stakeholders
- Contribute to prompt engineering and educational content strategies
- Help align AI solutions with real-world educational use cases
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or PhD in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Instructional Design, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in:
- Teaching
- Curriculum development
- Educational content creation
- Academic research
- Instructional design
- Strong understanding of:
- K-12 standards
- Higher Education frameworks
- Assessment design
- Learning objectives
- Educational pedagogy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with LMS platforms, digital learning tools, or EdTech systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Generative AI tools or Prompt Engineering
- Familiarity with AI training, content evaluation, or data annotation
- Knowledge of ethical AI practices and bias detection
- Exposure to academic research platforms such as JSTOR, EBSCO, etc.
