Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Remote Retention & Customer Service Representative to join our award‑winning customer experience team. In this role you will act as a Retention Specialist, turning cancellation requests into opportunities to deepen relationships, solve problems, and ultimately keep customers safe with arenaflex’s comprehensive security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer a high volume of inbound calls from customers who are considering canceling their arenaflex services.
  • Employ active listening and empathy to uncover the root cause of each cancellation request.
  • Present tailored, value‑based solutions—ranging from contract adjustments and billing credits to equipment upgrades—that address the customer’s concerns while preserving their protection.
  • Utilize a suite of more than ten internal tools (pricing calculators, CRM, billing platforms, etc.) to negotiate, upsell, and resolve issues in real time.
  • Maintain a “first‑call resolution” mindset, reducing the need for escalations and repeat contacts.
  • Document interactions accurately in the arenaflex system, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Continuously meet or exceed retention targets, contributing directly to the company’s growth and profitability.
  • Stay current on arenaflex product offerings, security trends, and competitor landscapes to provide informed recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including sales, technical support, and billing—to deliver seamless customer experiences.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales‑oriented call‑center environment, with a proven track record of meeting performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to persuade, negotiate, and upsell while maintaining a calm, compassionate demeanor.
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to perform quick calculations, assess contract terms, and propose financially viable solutions.
  • High‑speed internet (minimum 50 Mbps download / 25 Mbps upload) and a distraction‑free home office setup.
  • High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or degree is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal communication, active listening, and de‑escalation skills.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in the security, smart‑home, or telecommunications industry.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms, ticketing systems, and multi‑screen workflows.
  • Certification or training in conflict resolution, negotiation, or customer experience management.

Compensation, Benefits, & Perks

  • Starting hourly wage of $18.00, with incremental raises every 30 days leading to $21.00 after 180 days.

  • Log in to the arenaflex suite of tools, review your call queue, and prepare for a day of high‑impact conversations.

  • Present customized solutions—whether it’s a discounted rate, a service upgrade, or a billing correction—to retain the customer.

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Consistent attendance during the 8‑week training period; any missed sessions may affect progression.
  • Private, quiet workspace free from distractions.
  • Reliable, wired internet connection (DSL, cable, or fiber). 5G home internet and fixed wireless are not accepted.
  • Ability to multitask across multiple screens and applications while maintaining professionalism.
