As Sales Manager, you will lead the growth of Mukuru’s footprint in Zimbabwe, building strong partnerships, driving sustainable revenue, and ensuring that our solutions continue to make a meaningful impact in people’s lives. You will play a critical role in translating strategy into action leading teams, unlocking opportunities, and ensuring that everything we deliver reflects our commitment to reliability, accessibility, and trust. What you will do Drive growth and strategy Lead the development and execution of a clear, forward-thinking sales roadmap aligned to business goals Unlock new revenue streams by identifying opportunities across B2B and B2P channels Monitor performance, track targets, and implement agile interventions to drive results Analyse market trends and competitor activity to keep Mukuru competitive and relevant Build and strengthen partnerships Identify and secure new strategic partnerships that expand reach and impact Lead engagements, negotiations, and contracting in collaboration with internal stakeholders Ensure seamless onboarding of partners and maintain strong, long-term relationships Act as the key in-country representative for partnerships and collaboration Lead and inspire teams Manage and develop high-performing teams across Sales, Partner Management, and Verifications Create a culture of accountability, growth, and continuous improvement Provide coaching and mentorship to build capability and future leaders Ensure teams are aligned, well-supported, and set up for success Ensure operational excellence Oversee verification processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency Maintain an effective organisational structure that supports growth Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and internal policies Champion the brand Act as a custodian of Mukuru’s brand in Zimbabwe Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure strong, consistent market presence Stay close to the market through regular engagement and on-the-ground insights Deliver insights and governance Provide meaningful reporting on performance, risks, and opportunities Contribute to leadership discussions with insights on the competitive landscape Represent the business with confidence, integrity, and professionalism What you bring A relevant qualification in Business or a related field Extensive experience in sales, with a strong track record of driving results Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams A solid understanding of the financial services, payments, or remittance environment Strong commercial thinking and the ability to turn strategy into execution Confidence in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and relationship building Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements within the market What sets you apart You think strategically but act with urgency You are comfortable navigating complexity and change You lead with purpose and bring out the best in others You build relationships that last—with teams, partners, and customers You are driven by impact, not just numbers I am sure you are reading this job description and meet majority of the criteria BUT you may also still not be 100% comfortable in applying.
