Chief of Staff to CEO

Location: Remote US (EST hours) Reports to: CEO We are seeking a highly strategic, execution-oriented Chief of Staff to partner closely with the CEO of Alex + Ani. This role serves as a growth accelerator to the business, focusing on new initiatives that may be too nascent to invest in. The Chief of Staff will lead cross-functional initiatives and bring a data-driven mindset to evaluating priorities and opportunities across the organization. The ideal candidate is wildly self-motivated, curious, and has a strong foundation in understanding a P&L. They should bring strong business judgment and can move fluidly between strategy, operations, and communication in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Serve as a strategic extension to the CEO, preparing and reviewing key business analyses to help improve decision-making and organizational clarity. Translate the CEO’s vision into executable plans by coordinating across merchandising, marketing, e-commerce, operations, finance, customer experience, and retail or wholesale partners as applicable. Lead and execute high-priority cross-functional projects, such as new product launches, channel expansion, supply chain initiatives, organizational changes, and growth planning. Monitor key business metrics and synthesize insights into clear recommendations to support timely decision-making. Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in strategy, business management, consulting, and/or private equity. Strong understanding of consumer brands, ideally in direct-to-consumer, with fluency in all three financial statements. Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create executive-ready materials and communicate with clarity and influence. Highly analytical with strong financial and operational acumen; comfortable working with KPIs, business performance trends, and growth opportunities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing, ambiguous environment. Strong emotional intelligence and sound judgment, with the ability to build trust and navigate interpersonal dynamics effectively. Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
