SEO/GEO Specialist for Generative-Search Visibility

We're a digital forensics and investigations firm serving attorneys and corporations. Our website content, strategy, and on-page SEO are already complete, and our developer is handling all technical/on-site fixes (schema, NAP, page speed, etc.) internally. We are NOT looking for someone to rebuild our site or rewrite our content. We're looking for an ongoing specialist to handle the off-site, recurring, and AI-visibility work we can't do in-house. Our primary goal is modern: we want to show up when potential clients ask AI tools (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Claude) and search engines "who are the best computer forensics / digital evidence experts," especially in our region. Traditional ranking matters, but generative-search visibility (GEO/AEO) is the priority. What's already done (so you know the scope) 1- Website rebuilt with optimized service pages, an expert bio page, and FAQ sections 2- On-page SEO, titles, meta, and content strategy complete 3- Technical/plumbing fixes (schema markup, NAP consistency, forms, speed) being handled by our developer What we need from you (the actual scope) 1- Off-site authority & link building (top priority). White-hat only. Earning mentions and quality backlinks from legal-industry publications, forensics/legal resources, relevant directories, and editorial "top firms" lists. Outreach is part of this. 2- AI-visibility monitoring & iteration. Track whether we're being cited/surfaced in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and similar for our target queries — and adjust based on what's working. Tell us how you measure this. 3- Keyword & competitive intelligence. Using real tools (Ahrefs/Semrush). Identify the queries our buyers actually use and where competitors are winning. 4- Ongoing technical diagnostics. Recurring crawl/indexation/Core Web Vitals checks and a punch-list for our developer (you diagnose; our developer executes). 5- Local SEO / Google Business Profile optimization (ongoing management, not just setup). 6- Analytics & reporting. GA4 + Search Console configured properly, contact-form conversion tracking, and a concise monthly report that ties activity to leads — not vanity metrics. Ideal candidate 1- Demonstrable experience with generative engine optimization / AI search visibility, not just classic SEO 2- White-hat only; no purchased links, PBNs, or "guaranteed rankings" 3- Experience with professional-services or local service businesses (legal/B2B a plus) 4- Clear, plain-English communicator who reports in outcomes, not jargon 5- Comfortable working from an existing strategy rather than insisting on a full rebuild To start: We'd like to begin with a paid trial scope (e.g., the initial audit + AI-visibility baseline) before committing to ongoing work. We need to feel confident in the direction. In your proposal, please: 1- Answer the screening questions directly (proposals that ignore them won't be considered) 2- Skip the generic template pitch — tell us specifically how you'd approach getting a forensics firm cited in AI search 3- Include one relevant example of past results My goal is to get all the work possible from Utah that relates to computer and cell phone forensics, targeting lawyers who will use us the most.
