1099 Medical Biller Needed for Medical Billing Company (USA Based Only)
We are seeking a skilled 1099 Medical Biller to join our medical billing company. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling medical billing processes, including claims submission, payment posting, and follow-up on denials. Strong attention to detail and knowledge of medical coding is essential. Only USA-based freelancers will be considered for this position. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to work remotely and contribute to an established team in the healthcare industry. You will be fully responsible for maintaining the financial health of your assigned providers, including:
- Daily claim submission
- Full A/R follow-up
- Denial resolution
- Payment posting coordination
- Aging management
- Timely filing compliance
- Clear communication with providers and leadership
Qualifications
- Proven medical billing experience
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, modifiers, payer rules
- Multi-specialty billing experience preferred
- Experience with clearinghouses (Claim.MD, Availity, Trizetto is a plus)
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Self-managed and independent worker
- Working knowledge of these EHR's: Tebra, SimplePractice, and Counselear
1099 Contractor Terms
- Must maintain own workspace and equipment
- Paid per contractual agreement
- Responsible for own taxes
- Flexible daily schedule, but deadlines are firm
- Expected to be responsive and communicatice
