Business Analyst
Modern Woodmen of America is one of the nation’s largest fraternal benefit societies, and they are seeking a Business Analyst to improve processes and support enterprise projects. The role involves connecting business needs with practical solutions and collaborating with project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Understand and examine business processes, identify solutions for improving efficiencies, and prepare necessary documentation for enterprise projects
- Participate in multiple/concurrent projects from business analysis through project completion
- Document requirements utilizing various business requirement elicitation techniques. Collect, analyze, and develop these requirements ensuring alignment with the business strategy
- Act as translator/interpreter between business and technology experts during requirements gathering and design discussions. Collaborating with project team members on design and selection of technology solutions
- Help identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with each solution/design accurately
- Assist in developing and implementing test plans/scenarios to ensure successful project delivery
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business management or related discipline
- One year of related experience
- Basic understanding of the life insurance/financial services industry to interpret business requirements preferred
- Promote a positive and professional image and develop productive relationships
- Ability to adjust and be flexible in a rapidly changing environment
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to relate business requirements in a clear and concise manner
- Inquisitive and persistent - by seeking to understand the real issues and not take things at face value; able to interpret requirements
Benefits
- This is a full-time hybrid- hourly position: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), Monday- Friday, with flexible start time between 7 a.m.-9 a.m.
- Hybrid positions work at least four days in office each week.
- Employees beginning to work in a new hybrid role will be expected to work on-site (five days a week) during the initial training period which may be up to one year.
