Summary

The Senior Reimbursement Analyst is responsible for providing accurate information for Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare cost report preparation, cost report appeals, audit preparation, and other duties related to the regulatory reimbursement services. This position assists in the monthly AR closing process by calculating contractual reserves for each hospital. The Sr. Reimbursement Analyst also assists with the net revenue for the yearly hospital budgets. The position maintains current knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other State and Federal Regulations. This position works closely with various members of hospital staff, including Administration, on ad hoc reporting and research. The Senior Reimbursement Analyst works closely with the Reimbursement Analyst to provide guidance and mentoring. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors
  • Minimum required experience of 5 years in a hospital environment. Must possess knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid Cost reports. Strong Analytical skills required. Must be proficient in Excel and Cerner. Must have a solid understanding of reimbursement of SCH, CAH, and RHCs. Must be able to work independently, as well as collaboratively with key members of the hospital.
  • MBA of Accounting preferred. Experience with GME and IME preferred.
