Azure Build Engineer At Xbox Game Studios, we are hard at work continuing the great legacy of Age of Empires, our beloved RTS franchise. We are a passionate group responsible for this amazing franchise and are expanding our team looking for a wonderful colleague that will be responsible building the tools that empower our development teams across the world to create great games worthy of the Age of Empires legacy! Wanted! Senior Azure Cloud Engineer! Must have a strong background building and operating large scale infrastructure on Azure. We're looking for someone with strong communication skills and a self-driven approach to work. The ideal candidate will understand and have experience building cloud first build infrastructure on Azure, enjoys collaborating with internal and external partners, and has a track record for delivering high quality infrastructure with a passion for operational excellence. A qualified applicant must have experience developing and maintaining large scale, reliable, secure build services and the tools needed to use them.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Azure subject matter expert for the growing team building infrastructure used across the Age portfolio.
  • Implement new features, improve security, observability and automation, increase reliability.
  • Provide troubleshooting and timely resolution of Azure, network, and infrastructure problems.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years experience building cloud infrastructure.
  • 3+ years experience with Azure Compute, Storage and Networking technologies.
  • 4+ years experience with scripting languages (python, bash, ruby, etc.)
  • Expertise in implementing automated unit and integration tests
  • Experience securing Azure infrastructure (RBAC, Security Groups, AAD/Entra, NSGs, WAF) Bonus skills
  • Automated CI/CD pipeline (e.g., Azure DevOps)
  • Content Tools and Pipelines
  • Deep understanding of Unreal Engine's build pipeline and asset management systems
  • Experience supporting Perforce based CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience in working with non-engineering disciplines
  • Experience in working with remote teams
  • Experience with infrastructure tools like Kubernetes and Docker
