Headquartered with a global footprint that spans continents, arenaflex operates one of the most influential video-sharing ecosystems in the world. Our platform serves as a launchpad for emerging artists, a classroom for lifelong learners, a stage for storytellers, and a marketplace for entrepreneurs. We are equally committed to protecting this ecosystem from the misuse, abuse, and exploitation that threaten the integrity of digital spaces. This dual commitment—to creative expression and to user safety—is what defines the spirit of arenaflex.

We are currently seeking an exceptional leader to join our Trust and Safety (T&S) organization as the Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse and Analytics. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of online safety at an unprecedented scale, leading teams that combat adversarial threats, detect emerging abuse patterns, and deliver data-driven insights that inform strategy across the entire company. If you are a visionary leader with a passion for solving complex problems, building high-performing global teams, and protecting users worldwide, we invite you to explore this transformative role.

Position Overview

The Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse and Analytics at arenaflex is a senior executive position responsible for leading two critical, interconnected functions within the Trust and Safety organization: the Adversarial Abuse team and the Business Analytics team. This role carries full accountability for identifying, mitigating, and preventing adversarial behaviors across our platform, while simultaneously generating the analytical insights and transparency reporting that shape our global safety strategy.

You will oversee operations that span account takeovers, spam mitigation, engagement abuse, ban evasion, and a wide array of sophisticated threats posed by bad actors operating at scale. In parallel, you will lead the development of metrics, dashboards, and reports that quantify abuse trends, measure the effectiveness of our interventions, and provide regulatory transparency to governments and stakeholders worldwide.

This is a remote-friendly position with a competitive hourly rate of $24/hour, reflecting our commitment to flexible work arrangements and our dedication to attracting top-tier talent regardless of geographic boundaries. The role is full-time, requiring 8 hours per day, with occasional on-call availability during weekends and holidays on a rotational basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Global Adversarial Abuse Operations: Direct the Adversarial Abuse team in detecting, investigating, and neutralizing threats from bad actors who attempt account takeovers, deploy spam campaigns, manipulate engagement metrics, and evade enforcement actions.
  • Drive Business Analytics Excellence: Oversee the Business Analytics team responsible for measuring abuse prevalence, interpreting complex data sets, generating actionable insights, and producing comprehensive Transparency Reports for countries around the world.
  • Anticipate Emerging Threats: Stay ahead of evolving industry trends, including the implications of generative AI, and develop proactive strategies to mitigate new categories of risk before they materialize at scale.
  • Shape Policy Development: Partner closely with the Policy Development team to craft nuanced policies that leverage account signals, social graph data, and content signals to define and address toxic behavior effectively.
  • Ensure Operational Excellence: Deliver consistent, high-quality operational performance across a global team operating 24/7, meeting service-level agreements and quality benchmarks without compromise.
  • Build and Develop Talent: Engage, retain, manage, and develop exceptional talent, cultivating a culture of psychological safety, continuous learning, and high performance.
  • Manage Critical Escalations: Handle time-sensitive escalations with rapid turnaround, providing data-driven and content-driven insights while building enduring relationships with cross-functional partners.
  • Support Product and Engineering Collaboration: Provide critical input to Product Management and Engineering teams to build robust data infrastructure, machine learning models, and tooling capable of keeping pace with rapidly evolving abuse patterns.
  • Champion Transparency and Compliance: Develop and publish Transparency Reports that meet regulatory requirements and demonstrate arenaflex's unwavering commitment to openness and accountability.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Risk and Fraud Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in risk management, fraud fighting at scale, and building or delivering analytical solutions.
  • Engineering Collaboration: At least 2 years of experience working alongside engineering teams to shape data infrastructure and machine learning models.
  • Leadership Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience leading teams, with demonstrated ability to manage non-standard work weeks as escalations demand.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Education: Master's degree in a related field such as analytics, engineering, data science, computer science, or a similar discipline.
  • Large-Scale Data Analysis: 2 or more years of experience analyzing massive datasets and detecting anomalies using sophisticated statistical and computational techniques.
  • Anti-Abuse Operations Knowledge: Demonstrated experience or strong interest in anti-abuse operations, content moderation, or trust and safety work.
  • Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of SQL, R, MATLAB, Python, or similar analytical and statistical programming languages.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional influencing, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trust-based relationships with cross-functional partners across geographies and functions.
  • Strategic Acumen: Outstanding business judgment, strategic thinking, and analytical capabilities, with demonstrated success in using data to drive strategy and business operations in rapidly evolving industries.
  • Ambiguity Management: Proven ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-changing environments and convert uncertainty into clear quantitative insights.

Skills and Competencies for Success

To excel in this role, you will need a unique blend of technical depth, strategic vision, and human leadership. The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Systems Thinking: The ability to understand complex interconnected systems and anticipate second-order consequences of policy and product decisions.

  • Crisis Leadership: Composure under pressure, decisive judgment during high-stakes incidents, and the ability to mobilize teams quickly.
  • Cross-Functional Influence: The credibility and communication skills to influence senior leaders, engineers, policy experts, and operations specialists without relying on positional authority.
  • Global Perspective: Cultural sensitivity and a global mindset, with experience managing teams and stakeholders across multiple time zones and cultural contexts.
  • Ethical Foundation: A principled approach to balancing free expression, user safety, privacy, and business objectives in a way that reflects arenaflex's values.
