The modern business landscape generates an unprecedented volume of data, and at arenaflex, we transform that data into actionable insights that shape strategy, mitigate risk, and unlock new opportunities. Our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and compliance functions are central to how we identify, evaluate, and address risks across diverse business units. We are currently seeking a meticulous, analytical, and tech-savvy Remote Data Analytics & Risk Assessment Specialist to join our expanding team. This is a part-time, work-from-home position offering a competitive hourly rate of $30, designed for professionals who excel at turning complex datasets into clear, compelling narratives.

Position Overview

As a Remote Data Analytics & Risk Assessment Specialist at arenaflex, you will serve as a critical link between raw data and strategic decision-making. Your work will directly support ERM initiatives, risk evaluation objectives, compliance requirements, and situational awareness programs that protect and propel our business forward. You will collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments, including compliance professionals, attorneys, and senior business leaders, helping them understand risk exposure and the maturity of associated controls through elegant dashboards and custom reports.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about the power of data to tell stories, influence outcomes, and drive organizational resilience. If you are a self-starter with a growth mindset, deep technical expertise, and a desire to make a tangible impact from the comfort of your home, arenaflex wants to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Identification & Risk Evaluation: Identify and curate information that supports a wide variety of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and risk assessment objectives, compliance requirements, and situational awareness focus areas.
  • Cross-System Data Collection: Collect, integrate, and process information from disparate data systems throughout arenaflex’s US and global business operations, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • Dashboard Design & Development: Design and build intuitive, interactive dashboards that help stakeholders scope risk, evaluate control maturity, and visualize key performance indicators across the organization.
  • Custom Reporting: Construct tailored reports on an as-needed basis to address specific business questions, regulatory requirements, and strategic initiatives.
  • Analytical Methodology: Apply expertise in advanced analytics techniques and tools to develop defensible, repeatable, and consistent methodologies for assessing enterprise risk.
  • Insight Generation & Communication: Draw meaningful insights and correlations from data, and clearly communicate findings and recommendations to compliance professionals, attorneys, and business leaders.
  • Emerging Risk Identification: Provide informed input on new and emerging risk areas using data-driven analysis, helping the organization stay ahead of potential threats.
  • Process Improvement: Solicit feedback from stakeholders and contribute to the continuous improvement of arenaflex’s ERM and risk evaluation processes, tools, and frameworks.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to understand data needs, define requirements, and deliver solutions that align with business priorities.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

To succeed in this role, you will bring a combination of technical depth, analytical curiosity, and professional polish. The following qualifications are required:

  • Advanced SQL Proficiency: Deep knowledge of SQL and demonstrated ability to write complex queries, optimize data extraction, and manipulate large datasets across multiple platforms.
  • Visualization & BI Tools Mastery: Hands-on expertise with Power BI, Tableau, Tableau Prep, BigQuery, PowerApps, and Dataiku. You should be comfortable building end-to-end analytics solutions.
  • Programming Skills: Practical coding experience in at least one of the following: R or Python. You should be able to leverage these languages for statistical analysis, automation, and advanced data manipulation.
  • Domain Experience: Prior experience working on legal, compliance, ERM, or risk evaluation matters is highly valued and will help you hit the ground running.
  • Storytelling with Data: A demonstrated ability to generate impactful visualizations and use data to "tell a story" that resonates with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Communication Excellence: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Growth Mindset: A genuine enthusiasm for learning new things, exploring emerging technologies, and continuously improving your craft.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following attributes will help you stand out as a candidate:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.

  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks such as SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, or industry-specific compliance standards.
  • Prior experience supporting executive-level stakeholders with strategic risk insights.
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their application to risk modeling.
