About arenaflex

Welcome to arenaflex, a forward-thinking organization operating at the dynamic crossroads of entertainment, technology, and innovation. At arenaflex, we are reimagining how world-class streaming platforms, immersive digital products, and global content experiences come to life. Our teams design, develop, and deliver cutting-edge technology solutions that connect millions of viewers with the stories, characters, and moments they love.

Innovation is our engine, collaboration is our culture, and our people are the heart of everything we build. We are now seeking a seasoned, strategic, and people-focused leader to join us as a Manager, HR Business Partner — a pivotal role supporting our programming, product, and technology groups across the United States.

Position Overview

As the Manager, HR Business Partner (HRBP) at arenaflex, you will sit at the vital intersection of business strategy and human capital. Reporting into senior leadership, you will partner closely with our Programming and Product teams within the Commerce, Growth, and Identity organization, serving as a trusted advisor, strategic consultant, and culture champion. This role is responsible for leading all HR initiatives and programs that enable business performance, organizational health, and talent excellence.

This is a remote-friendly opportunity available in both full-time and part-time capacities, offering flexibility while delivering meaningful impact across a global, fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Establish and maintain deep, trusted relationships with senior leaders, managers, and cross-functional partners across arenaflex, building productive working alliances grounded in credibility and influence.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the business, including its strategy, organizational dynamics, financial drivers, competitive landscape, and product roadmap.
  • Proactively assess business and organizational performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommend HR-driven actions through a consultative, "influence without authority" approach.

Talent Strategy & Leadership Development

  • Coach and mentor leaders on HR strategies, processes, and people-management practices, including talent planning, succession, learning and development, inclusion, engagement, and performance management.
  • Partner with Learning & Development colleagues to design and deliver development experiences that close capability gaps and prepare teams for future business needs.
  • Evaluate talent capabilities and identify high-potential employees, supporting career growth, internal mobility, and leadership pipelines.

Organizational Design & Change Management

  • Lead organizational design initiatives, including role clarification, team restructures, and process improvements that drive speed, efficiency, and scalability in a rapidly evolving business environment.
  • Champion change management efforts, helping leaders and teams navigate ambiguity, transition, and transformation with resilience and clarity.
  • Challenge the status quo and pursue innovative approaches to HR work, demonstrating flexibility, agility, transparency, and global thinking.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Analyze HR metrics, people data, and workforce trends, presenting insights in clear, compelling, and actionable ways to senior stakeholders.
  • Use data to inform recommendations on talent acquisition, retention, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and Compensation teams to lead effective headcount planning, recruitment strategy, and offer management processes.
  • Ensure alignment between workforce strategy and broader business priorities, supporting rapid growth and evolving organizational needs.

Inclusion, Diversity & Culture

  • Collaborate with DEI functional teams and employee resource groups to design, implement, and measure the impact of inclusion initiatives.
  • Foster a workplace culture rooted in belonging, equity, and continuous improvement.

Collaboration Across the HR Ecosystem

  • Work closely with other HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence, fostering positive working relationships and co-leading projects that span multiple teams across arenaflex.
  • Partner with onboarding, talent management, and mobility teams to deliver seamless employee experiences from hire through career progression.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, ideally in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Psychology, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience as an HR Business Partner, preferably within a technology organization supporting software engineering, product, or digital platform teams.
  • Senior Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrated success partnering with and influencing senior executives in an "influence without authority" capacity.
  • Strategic & Operational Balance: Ability to operate with a "focused in" mindset — equally comfortable thinking conceptually and executing tactically.
  • Ambiguity & Independence: Proven ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and navigate complex issues where processes may not yet exist or priorities may conflict.
  • Business Acumen: Strong commercial awareness with the ability to absorb and apply new information quickly.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to influence, partner, and drive results across a diverse, matrixed organization.
  • Work Style: Independent and self-directed, with the ability to balance collaboration with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting product, commerce, growth, or identity-focused teams within a streaming, media, or digital platform environment.
  • Familiarity with global, multi-location team structures and the nuances of supporting distributed workforces.
  • Exposure to organizational design methodologies, change management frameworks, and workforce planning models.
  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR/SPHR is a plus.

Skills & Competencies for Success

  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills — both written and verbal.
  • High emotional intelligence and interpersonal sensitivity.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making capabilities.
  • Curiosity, continuous learning mindset, and a passion for innovation.
  • Resilience and adaptability in fast-changing environments.
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive, equitable, and high-performing teams.
