Role Overview
arenaflex is seeking a highly skilled Denial Management, Pre‑Registration, Authorization, and PFCC Specialist who will also serve as a Customer Experience Trainer and Quality Assurance Lead for our medical billing department. This dual‑focused role is 100 % remote and is responsible for guiding new and existing team members through the intricacies of end‑to‑end revenue cycle management (RCM), while ensuring that all billing transactions meet the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Development
- Design, deliver, and continuously improve a structured curriculum that covers denial management, pre‑registration, authorization, and PFCC processes.
- Facilitate live virtual sessions and on‑demand e‑learning modules for groups and individual learners.
- Provide one‑on‑one coaching, refresher training, and remediation support to drive performance excellence.
- Maintain detailed job aids, process guides, and reference materials that align with current regulations and arenaflex best practices.
- Monitor new‑hire performance, evaluate training outcomes, and report findings to local managers and central leadership.
- Collaborate with supervisors to identify performance gaps and develop targeted intervention plans.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Conduct regular quality audits of billing transactions to ensure adherence to payer guidelines and internal standards.
- Oversee and report on quality control metrics, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.
- Stay current with state, federal, and accreditation requirements; integrate updates into training content promptly.
- Lead the review and appeal of denied claims, ensuring timely re‑submission and payment collection.
- Reconcile accounts, file corrected claims, and maintain accurate documentation for audit readiness.
Operational Excellence
- Act as a subject‑matter expert for denial management, pre‑registration, authorization, and PFCC across all US healthcare payers.
- Utilize arenaflex’s proprietary billing platform (formerly known as EPIC) to process claims, track denials, and generate performance reports.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including finance, compliance, and IT—to streamline workflows and reduce claim turnaround times.
- Maintain a high level of ethics, professionalism, and courtesy in all interactions with insurers, patients, and internal stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in denial management, accounts receivable collection, pre‑registration, authorization, or PFCC within the US healthcare ecosystem.
- Demonstrated expertise with arenaflex’s billing software (formerly EPIC) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Solid understanding of healthcare terminology, billing cycles, and reimbursement models for both government and commercial payers.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
- High ethical standards, a courteous demeanor, and a collaborative mindset.
- Typing speed of at least 40 wpm with accurate data entry.
